Angelica Gimbo

My professional background lies at the intersection of international cooperation, humanitarian operations and security, developed after completing a BA degree in Political Sciences at LUISS Guido Carli University (Rome) and a MA degree in International Security Studies at Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies (Pisa) in 2024.

Before joining Smart Revolution Security, I gained experience in international cooperation and humanitarian environments, working on project management, stakeholder coordination and policy-related activities with international organisations, research institutions and NGOs, living among Italy, Belgium, Czech Republic, Turkey, Morocco and Ivory Coast. My experience also includes collaboration with NATO Centres of Excellence (CoE) and operational work in humanitarian settings, including projects and field activities in North and West African contexts. My professional approach combines policy insight with field-oriented experience in crisis response, migration contexts and civil–military cooperation within humanitarian frameworks.

Alongside my professional activities, I have remained actively engaged in volunteering and community-led initiatives in the fields of civil protection, social inclusion and contrasting gender-based violence, reflecting a long standing commitment to contributing to transformative social impact.

At Smart Revolution Security I currently work as Project Manager, focusing on Travel Risk Management (TRM) consultancy and on the development and delivery of Travel Security and Crisis Management training programmes.

Through this work, I support organisations and professionals operating in medium- and high-risk environments through threat analysis, risk mitigation and operational preparedness.
