Paola Fazzi

I am a wildlife biologist specialized in animal biodiversity conservation, with over 15 years of professional experience in the management and monitoring of wildlife for public bodies and private organizations.

I have developed solid expertise in the study and management of mammals, with particular focus on wolf (Canis lupus) populations in various Italian protected areas, working in both coastal and mountainous environments. My work has included the analysis of ecological and demographic aspects of populations, the application of GIS tools for spatial analysis, and the exploration of the human dimension in human–carnivore conflicts, with attention to mitigation processes and stakeholder engagement.

Throughout my career, I have participated in several LIFE projects and other EU co-funded initiatives, taking on technical coordination and project management roles. I am responsible for the planning, implementation, and reporting of project activities, ensuring methodological consistency and compliance with scientific and administrative requirements. I also have experience in environmental communication, training activities, and the development of European project proposals.

At Smart Revolution, I work as a Project Manager overseeing projects in the environmental and biodiversity sectors.
