Rossella Altamura

Administrator of Smart Revolution, in charge of Training.
I hold a Master in Human Rights and Conflict Management from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, a Master’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from the University of Pisa.
From 2011 till 2020 I collaborated with Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, mainly in charge of the design, organization, evaluation and monitoring of highly specialized training activities, especially in the sector of security for personnel working in high-risk areas.
I have been in charge of the HEAT project for the European Union Institutions in the period 2016 - 2020 and the HEAT project for FRONTEX staff in 2019, in the framework of which I have delivered 30 HEAT courses in collaboration with the 1st Parachute Regiment Tuscania of the Carabinieri Corps and the Folgore Airborne Brigade.
At the same I have been in charge of other training activities, both in Italy and abroad (my dearest memories go to Sudan and Ethiopia), especially with reference to the Europe’s New Training Initiative for Civilian Crisis Management (ENTRi) and EU Aid Volunteers Initiative. Overall, in addition to the European Union Institutions, I have organized trainings for the personnel of United Nations, Ministries, NGOs, and private companies such as ENEL Italia.
In the period 2012 – 2020 I have been acting also as Internship Coordinator of the Master in Human Rights and Conflict Management, advising students about career opportunities in the international field.
Finally, I carried out research activities in the humanitarian sector, contributing in 2015 and 2016 to the annual report on the value of aid by the Italian Emergency Response Agency.
